The 7 Tasks
of Midlife

Expansion and Growth vs. Anti-aging

About

There is an elegant transition point at midlife that beckons to women wishing to evolve gracefully; yet, many of us are caught in a cycle of resisting aging, brain fog, and a slightly unbecoming case of the cranks.

As we enter mid-life, there is no shortage of changes and challenges. While supporting our physical health and changing bodies is essential, it seems there is more to aging gracefully and moving through adult transitions that extends beyond the physical.

Why do things feel off kilter? Be it my work, my body, my family, my relationships, my tolerance for so many things? Why is my nervous system so sensitive? Why am I more anxious, forgetful, cranky?

This course takes these symptoms as an invitation to do the inner work necessary to transition into a new phase of life. We use our imbalances as an indication that we are on a threshold and uncover our emerging selves as more grounded, wise and whole.

What's going on here?

The Midlife Transition will be explored by working through Carl Jung’s 7 Tasks of Aging, which are applied to middle-aged women as the 7 Tasks of Midlife by giving a feminine twist,
to represent our experience as aging women.

The circle will meet weekly, for 7 weeks, and each week work our way through the Tasks of Midlife. Each session will combine teachings and practical, experiential learning - examining how each of the 7 Tasks of Midlife applies to our own lives and illuminating the areas that need our attention and support.

The goal? To step through the mid-life threshold and show up in our lives as more grounded, centered and wise women - for ourselves, our families and our communities.
